I cast my eye

Over time,

I survey

What has been,

And I see me.

Me,

Swept along

Upon the waves,

Rising and falling

With the tides.

Now I stand,

On this distant shore,

By the ocean

Which I have sailed,

Time and time again.

So many shores,

Beneath my feet,

Come and gone,

Yet only one ocean

For us all.
